We are excited to be partnering with Rice Lake Arts, near Peterborough, Ontario, for our first in-person Digital Story Retreat. This will be a 3-Day workshop, Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28.

Recent Custom Storytelling Projects

Supporting High School Students with Type 1 Diabetes: Mobilizing Experiential Knowledge to Combat Diabetes-Related Stigma

This project was a collaboration with Family & Child Health Initiative at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga. 11 high school and university students made stories that will be used for education and outreach to address Diabetes Related Stigma in high schools.

Métis Organ Donation and Transplantation.

We were recently in Saskatoon, where we worked with an amazing group of Metis storytellers who shared their experiences with organ donation and transplantation. This project was in collaboration with Dr. Caroline Tait, University of Calgary, Canada Research Chair-Indigenous Health Equity and Inclusion (funded by CIHR).

PD Movers, Black Diaspora Parkinson’s Disease Research.

This project, supported by the Brian Grant Foundation, brought together a group of Black Americans with Parkinson’s Disease and some of their care partners. StoryCentre Canada was entrusted with overseeing the important task of bringing out community members’ stories of the challenges and motivations for participating in PD clinical research trials.
